How to get BEST MPG on Rx8

A few tips about how to get a better fuel consumption on your Rx8 :
Increase the power/torque of the car, thus requiring less fuel to push the car at same speed
- Install a cold air intake instead of the stock air filter such as AEM, K&N, mazdaspeed, SR motorsport . Check my blog for reviews and videos of each.
- Install an improved exhaust system like Greddy, HKS, mazdaspeed, Borla. Check my blog for reviews and videos of each.
2004 Rx8 models tend to get low mpg, so if you plan to buy one get one starting with 2005
Rx8 gets better mpg with age (higher mileage)
Driving in middle rpm range (3000~5000) gets better mpg than low rpm (1000~3000)
The gas mileage can vary a lot because of the wide RPM range that the car can be driven at. The RX8 doesn’t have a board computer to show live fuel consumption, but owners have established a range of 15-20 mpg for urban driving and 20-25 mpg for highway driving.
