Fantastic Graph with loads of useful info!! Looks like the Esmeril turbo really shines above 6k rpm but is weak down low. The Greddy has decent low end torque but starves the engine in the high rpms (looks like MM tries to address the problem).

Its always worth noting that the Rx8’s highpower is listed as 231bhp (this is measured at the flywheel i beleive) but this graph is showing everything in WHP, power measured at the wheel (more important).

In other words if these figures on the dont impress you, try to imagine the power at the flywheel as compared to other performance cars :)

I’m curious if anyone knows how much gas mileage suffers with any of these turbo/supercharger kits? I realize that good gas mileage might not be a big concern but I’m just wondering because a stock RX8 gets pretty lousy mileage and I think driving range might become extremely short.

Now I really want to invest in the EsmerilRacing turbo. that gives it the kick I need to make my RX8 really shine. As for your question alex,
it really depends on your driving habits. I know with the superchargers if u drive normally, your highway mpg may actually go up with more airflow but realistically you are looking at about 14/city. Now with some turbo chargers, again it depends on your driving if you are constantly racing or just every now and then you might be looking at 13-15mpgcity. You don’t lose as much but of course the more you race or push it the more u will drink up the gas.

I already have the GReddy kit fitted to my Rx8 (and i love it!!!!) but i was wondering if anyone new if there was an upgrade for the turbo?
