From a roll start the GTI is no match for the RX8
,but if the race begins on the run, the GTI smashes the RX8 because it’s got a turbo. After all performance is not just drag race, but involves also stability, handling, braking and the RX8 is superior to the GTI in all these aspects. Also in terms of design, you can’t compare a family hatchback with a sport coupe.

Golf gti is in a different league to an rx8, thats why used rx8 is nearly worthless. Terrible build quality and no guts. Only a contender when absolutely thrashed. Crappy replacement for rx7
