This Red , Black powder coated or Polished CNC built 6061 billet aluminum and polished 304 stainless steel kit replaces the stock restrictive plastic RX-8 intake box. Our and is a true Ram-Air Cold Air Intake, receiving pressurized air into a fully sealed air box from outside of the super heated engine compartment. (Most intake systems are just a cone filter and pipe which grab hot air from around the radiator and the engine , which is why they don’t have the same good Horsepower increase that our kit does.)
SR motorsports system is quiet too! No loud funky intake noise. All Metal Construction. No Cheap Looking Plastic ! A very nice looking and welcome horsepower addition to your RX-8. Comes complete with a reusable performance K&N type cotton air filter and all needed hardware.

By the way, I don’t see how this is a “true ram-air” kit. This utilizes the same air intake duct in the bumper as the stock intake. The Racing Beat (RB) Ram Air Duct on the other hand, takes air directly from the front opening (outside) of the bumper, and actually does “ram air” into the intake. The RB duct is also ALOT cheaper. $399 is insanely expensive.

You got ripped-off if you paid for labor. Warranty covers both the engine core AND labor. I recently had my engine replaced as well, and it was all free, no charge for labor at all.

ok how is that , the recall????/ if you dont have warranty on it. they do chage you engine?

well i just recently found out that my 04 rx8 kept flooding out because there is a recall on the engines from 04-07 so if you are having frequent mechanical problems i would suggest you bring up the recall with a mazda rep. i just got my entire engine replaced for free only had to pay for the labor
